Wine Academy of India had its 1st Anniversary celebration with a Beaujolais Nouveau Party on the 19th of November 2010. Participants of our various wine appreciation sessions conducted in 2010 and other guests were invited for the exclusive event organised in association with Sheraton Park Hotel & Towers.Guests had a great time with the fruity and fresh Beaujolais Nouveau wines specially sourced from France and the lovely food provided by our Hotel Partner - Sheraton Park Hotel & Towers.
The event was supported by SOPEXA India and DCH India. The Consul General of France in Pondicherry Mr Pierre Fournier was the Chief Guest at the event.

Wine Academy of India was proud to organise this International wine event in Chennai. Chennai was the only city in India which had the event the next day of the International Beaujolais Nouveau which was on the 18th Nov 2010. Delhi had its Beaujolais Nouveau evening a few days later. We would like to thank all our clients,participants,friends, supporters, partners and sponsors for all their support.

We hope you will extend all your support and cooperation to Wine Academy of India this year when we proceed to the 2nd year of our operations not only in Chennai but in other cities in India as well. We will shortly be launching in other cities.

We are planning some exciting wine events in Chennai along with our regular Wine Appreciation & Guided tasting sessions at Sheraton Park Hotel for the beginners. Please do pass the message around and let us know if you have friends who will be interested to attend the Wine Appreciation sessions.

We will also keep you posted in advance about the Wine events and the Wine tours which we will be organising in India in the coming months and the special Wine tour to France in June 2011. Our wine travel website www.mywine.travel was also launched during the 1st Anniversary Celebrations of WAI by the Chief Guest Mr Pierre Fournier - The Consul General of France in Pondicherry.

Wine Academy of India will also be partnering with TASTE fair in Mumbai from 27th Jan to 29th Jan 2011. We will have a stall at the TASTE fair and also conduct sessions on wine with visiting sommeliers during the fair.
